An explosive battle on the Abyssal Plane leads to the downfall of Pale Night, whose cultists portal into and infiltrate societies on the Prime Elemental in order to summon her as her stronghold there falls. She, herself, is not intending to be malicious when she assumes control of the plane, and in fact doesn’t particularly care for it. Sending materials, advice (which, while not helpful, was actually intended to be), and ‘aid’ against her own unintentional effects on the plane, she’s trying to build a force to get her turf back.
